National Polytechnic Institute
Happy Birthday Polytechnic!
The National Polytechnic Institute, one of the oldest unis in Mexico, only celebrates its 80th anniversary once, so it aired an ID to celebrate it on public broadcasting channel Once TV, and I helped make it move.
Themes are
the New Timelines
The half-minute clip featured a lot of mixed animation so I teamed up with a 2D motion graphic designer and a sound technician to pack 80 years into 30 seconds in just under four weeks.
Instead of a timeline, we opted to represent the incredible work that came from the institute in the architecture-, engineering-, science-, tech-, and communications- fields. The epic music and the institute’s colors gave the story a sense of grand history.
A Very Long Celebration
The final ID was on-air for the entire 80th year of the Institute.
A Mix of History
A mix of 3D design and vintage graphics, photos of the institute’s founders and notable individuals, celebrated the anniversary in a contemporary style.
